PACS imaging

My Gran is having an orthopedic pacs done soon. She was quite concerned about the procedure and so I volunteered to take a look on the Internet for her and find out all about the procedure so that she knew what to expect. I hope that by understanding more about what will happen it will mean that she is not as stressed when it comes time for her to have it done. I think that she was thinking that it would be an old fashioned x-ray which she would have to wait around for, in order to make sure it was developed properly in the radiology reading rooms and then have to go through the whole process again if it did not work properly. I was able to give her all the information about how things worked and even find her some pictures of the equipment and of people having it done and her mind was put at rest which was great, I think she now knows more about PACS imaging than the person that will be doing the procedure for her!
