I was amazed the other day

I was amazed the other day when I passed a lot of expensive clothes shops selling formal dresses and they were all still open. I would have thought that in this time of recession that many shops would be struggling and shutting down. In the town where I come from, there was a newly closed shop just this morning and it is such a shame. It does seem like most of the upper end of the market shops and the big chains are still struggling through. I suppose we all need things like womens shoes and so shops with the necessities will still be open. Even when we have little money we still need to treat ourselves and get new outfits when the occasion demands. I just hope that the shops that I like to shop in do not all close down as I find it difficult enough getting nice clothes as it is because I am at an age where I want something which look grown up enough for a mother but is not old fashioned and it can be really hard fitting that criteria. I am far too old for teen clothing but I still want to look a bit fashionable and get something which is flattering.
